Ask your accommodation what is already provided before you buy.

Study gear

  • Laptop or tablet and a charger (if you have one)
  • Notebooks, pens, a calculator and a flash drive
  • A power bank and a phone with a data bundle

You do not need to buy textbooks before you know your course list. Use the course list for your program to see what you will study.

Money and safety

Carry only what you need, keep cash and valuables secure, and be careful with big payments. Pay fees through the university's official channels and keep receipts.

Tip: Freshman Hub brings this together in one app: programs and courses, campus map, accommodation, dates and a checklist. Open Freshman Hub or see every feature.

Information here is general guidance and can change. Always confirm requirements, fees and dates with your university's official notices.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring on my first day?

Your admission letter, NRC or passport, certificates, passport photos, payment receipts and your accommodation details.

Do I need a laptop in my first year?

It helps but is not always required. Many students manage with a phone and campus computer labs at first. Check what your program expects.
