By using the Freshman Hub website or app (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Freshman Hub is
Freshman Hub is an independent guide that helps first-year students find information about universities, programs, courses, accommodation, important dates and campus life in Zambia. It is not run by, or an official channel of, any university.
2. Information may change
We work to keep information accurate and current, but programs, course details, dates, fees and requirements can change. Always confirm important details — especially registration deadlines, exam dates and progression requirements — with your university before you rely on them. The official university position always prevails.
3. Accommodation
Accommodation information is provided to help you search. We do not own, manage or inspect listed places, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a landlord or other provider. Visit a place and check the details yourself before you pay or sign anything, and be careful about sending money in advance.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Give accurate information and do not use someone else’s account.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service. This includes sending spam or false information (for example, fake accommodation details), trying to break or overload the Service, scraping it in bulk, or using it for anything unlawful.
6. Content you send us
If you send us information (for example, details of a free space), you confirm that it is accurate and that you are allowed to share it. You give us permission to use it to operate and improve the Service. We may remove or decline content at our discretion.
7. Our content
The Freshman Hub name, design and software belong to us or our licensors. University names, logos and course information belong to their respective owners and are used here to help students find information.
8. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is”. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that arise from using or being unable to use the Service, or from relying on information in it, including missed deadlines or dealings with accommodation providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
